The E-Brother's Keeper Mutli-Purpose Cooperative (ESBKMPC)
The CDA approve the application of ESBKMPC and was issued Certificate of
Registration No. C-623-2247 ON March 31, 1999. The ESBKMPC then had an authorized Share Capital of
Four Million Pesos (Php 4,000,000.00) diveded into 8,000 shares with par value of Five Hundred (Php 500.00) per share. It
started accepting membership in May 3,1999 with eighteen (18) staff volunteers.
In June 30, 2000, a total of 9,313 members were registered. As there were
still more DWXI PPFI members wanting to join the cooperative, the Board of Directors was promped to file an amendment to tis
Articles of Cooperation increasing tis capitalization from P4M (8,000 Shares) to Php 100M (200,000 Shares). The CDA subsequently
approved the ammendment and the cooperative was issued a new Certificate of Registration No. C-623-2247-0807 ON July
6, 2000.'
As of 31 December 2003, the cooperative have registered 12,800 members includes
900 abroad.
ESBKMPC is registered as a Mutli-Purpose Cooperative, performing the following functions:
- Consumers Cooperative;
- Credit Cooperative;
- Marketing coopeartive;
- Producers Cooperative; and
- Services Cooperative.
The consumer operations were launched in October 1999. Credit Operations immediately followed. the Board of directors
decided to concentrate on these two cooperative functions until they were fully operational embarking on the rest of the coop
programs.
